CURRENCY - American currency is used in Belau.  There are a wide variety of Banks and currency exchange services to serve most of your needs.

TOURIST VISAS - The Palauan Embassy in Washington, D.C. can provide visa requirements, if any.  Proof of citizenship (passport or birth certificate) by U.S. citizens is required.  Visas are not required if you are staying for 30 days or less.  However, onward tickets are required.  Non-U.S. citizens must have a valid passport.  All visitors must have return travel arrangements, or approval by the Chief of Immigration for an extended stay.  If you are planning a longer visit, request an extension to your visa upon arrival.  Renewals are not automatic so you should check with local custom and/or immigration officials for renewal procedures.

AIR TRANSPORTATION - Continental Air Micronesia provides air service to several destinations in Micronesia.  Asian Spirit Airlines and Far Eastern Air Transport Airlines provide service to Palau from various Asian countries.
